Sen. Kennedy Goes Berserk To Save Kerry

When Senator Kennedy was asked why Bush was ahead in the polls he stated that it was due to the Republican campaign of hate, lies, and disinformation. He further clarified by saying that the most egregious example of this came when Vice President Cheny suggested that Al Qaeda wanted Kerry to win. He got very hot and bothered as he shouted from his puffed red face and pointed with his shaking index finger that Cheny's statement was anti-American and McCarthyite.

Kennedy of course is a simple liar. He knows full well that Al Qaeda wants Kerry to win, that this is deadly to the Kerry campaign, and that his over wrought pretentious anger might be the best way to cover it up. In reality I suppose it might be possible that Al Qaeda is neutral, but only from the perspective of an amoeba living in another galaxy. But, to any living human on earth, it seems highly likely Al Qaeda favors Kerry just as in Spain they favored, and killed 200 innocent Spaniards to prove it, the election of their "antiwar" candidate Jose Maria Aznar.

So, let's put on our thinking caps and really figure out whether Kerry or Bush is the antiwar candidate. Bush says he is going to kick ass, take names and kill the enemy where they stand, and has never shown any liberal ambiguity about it, ever. Kerry, in perfect contrast, has been the opposite: antiwar/antimilitary his whole life. He protested the Vietnamese war against communism while he was in college, while he was in Vietnam, and when he came back. In fact when he came back he wrote a book called "The New Soldier" (which he promotes slightly less than President Kennedy promoted his book "Profiles In Courage") which featured an upside down American flag on the cover. About the war in Iraq he has said, among many other equally damning things, "it is the wrong war in the wrong place at the wrong time." What more could Al Qaeda want except to know exactly when they can declare victory?

So why did Kennedy go berserk to cover up and lend credence to an obvious lie? Because he knows Kerry will lose unless we are made to believe the lie.
